ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

In the case of individual entries, participants will need to have been registered students in any one of the undergraduate or graduate programs of studies under the responsibility of the Faculty of Engineering during at least one semester of the preceding academic year (i.e. Winter 2021 or Fall 2021 in the case of the January 2022 cohort).

In the case of team entries, a majority of the participants will need to have been registered students in any of the undergraduate or graduate programs of studies under the responsibility of the Faculty of Engineering during at least one semester of the preceding academic year (i.e. Winter 2021 or Fall 2021 in the case of the January 2022 cohort).

A student or recent graduate may be an owner or part-owner of more than one startup that receives a MakerLaunch grant, but not simultaneously.

To be considered for this program, startups are required to be incorporated and must demonstrate that they have a paying customer or at least a soon to be paying customers through agreed trials, pre-orders, contracts, etc.
